OUR MACHINES: MICRO-PADDER

The Ozzie’s Micro-padder is the newest, smallest and most cost efficient Ozzie’s padding machine. The Ozzie’s Micro-padder has been rigorously designed to be compatible with most major compact track loaders with little to no modifications necessary to the loader, making it our most versatile padding machine yet.  Based on much of the same technology that was incorporated into the Ozzie’s Mini-padder machine, the Ozzie’s Micro-padder delivers all the performance and reliability you have come to depend on from an Ozzie’s padding machine while encompassing a much smaller footprint.  At two thirds the processing capacity of the Mini-padder,  the Micro-padder can process up to 80 cubic yards (61 cubic meters) of material per hour, making it ideal for backfilling small diameter pipelines, cable for solar and/or wind farms as well as any other form of underground cable or conduit. Like all Ozzie’s padders, the Ozzie’s Micro-padder is a self-loading machine requiring a single operator and no additional support equipment.

Material from the trench spoil pile is scooped up via a 3.3 foot (1 meter) wide vibrating chain elevator system and moved to the top of the padding head where the over-size material falls off the back of the padding head and the screened material falls onto the conveyor system.  Various chain sizes ranging from 3/8 to 7/8 inches can be incorporated into the elevator system in order to generate precise backfill material to meet a wide variety of jobsite padding specifications.  A moving conveyor system located below the vibrating chain at the top end of the padding head conveys the screened material into the ditch as the machine travels down the spoil pile.
