GAS PIPELINE
Less advanced pipeline construction practices led to the invention of the first Pipeline Padder. With the need to backfill pipelines and the demand for constructing more pipelines faster, safer, and more efficiently, the Pipeline Padder provided the solution to this growing problem and became the standard way to backfill. Pipeline padding is the process of sifting dirt to remove debris that previously would have been dumped back on a buried pipeline. The sifted dirt is backfilled under, around, and over a pipeline to protect its coating from being nicked or chipped. This reduces premature pipe corrosion and improves pipeline longevity. It all adds up to a money-saving, environmentally friendly, and safe way to protect your pipeline. Ozzie’s Pipeline Padder is the original padding company and continues to do it best.

ALTERNATIVE ENERGY
With the ongoing push for the development of green energy sources, there are many opportunities in the alternative energy industry to adopt proven construction techniques from other sectors like the pipeline industry to help in the construction of wind turbine farms and solar panel fields by reducing costs and increasing productivity. Ozzie’s diverse line of padders has a solution for your utility and electrical line backfill needs. Ozzie’s is committed to reducing the environmental impacts of construction as one of our padders will replace a fleet of trucks and by reusing the native soil that came out of the ground we eliminate the chance of soil contamination associated with using imported fill.

BEACH/YARD CLEANING
In cleaning applications, where the desired material is the oversized debris, our larger machines can be outfitted with different attachments, depending upon your specific needs, to capture the debris falling from the shaker. In these applications, the conveyor can be used to windrow material away from the machine or the conveyor can be completely removed and the cleaned material simply falls through the shaker back to the ground. Over the years Ozzie’s has been on numerous cleanup jobs varying in requirements from a simple yard cleanup, to precision racetrack cleaning and beach cleaning.

CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) INJECTION
With many of the onshore oil fields already having the easy-to-produce oil recovered, companies are exploring various enhanced oil recovery methods to extend the life of on shore wells. CO2 injection is the most widely used process for recovering additional oil. Crucial to the CO2 injection process is a network of small inch piping that delivers the carbon dioxide to the reservoirs, and to protect and backfill those lines, an Ozzie’s compact padding machine is the perfect solution. With increased cost of recovery resulting from the CO2 utilized in the extraction process, keeping construction costs down is essential to ensure the viability of CO2 injection as an enhanced recovery method. With one man and one machine replacing many trucks and imported material Ozzie’s is doing our part to help keep your backfill costs down.

UTILITY LINE BACKFILL
While the large pipeline industry led to the invention of the first pipeline padder, smaller utility line construction, taking place in housing developments around Phoenix, led to the invention of smaller scale padders. One that was more mobile and economical allowing for the machine to be easily moved from jobsite to jobsite giving greater flexibility to local contractors and saving them valuable time and money. Through constant innovation, for over 15 years the Ozzie’s Mini and Micro Padders have been the definitive machines when it comes to small inch utility line backfill.
